I voted "No", since there already was strong options to create pool or blood from nothing.
Since the argument seems to revolve around Ashur Tablets, Villein and Lilith's blessing, i'd remind all that Ashur Tablets and Lilith's blessing both have severe drawbacks already. Villein is a good card, but so is Minion Tap.
If you don't like people playing Villein, then play combat. If you don't like people playing Ashur Tablets, then play combat or cards that burn cards from ash heap. If you don't like Lilith's Blessing, then play Owain Evans, Life in the City and Blood Trade.
If you want to be nasty, play all above and Villein, Lil' Blessing and Ashur Tablets yourself.
If you are so certain of each superiority, try adding Lilith's Blessing and/or Ashur Tablets in every deck you play (or three) and see if it makes you to win.
And, as a very unsuccessful tournament player and a master of poor deckbuilding, try to adapt and play decks that can do pool damage, minion removal etc. instead of packing 12 deflections and do nothing in the whole game
