file Superior Rockheart, how much does it prevent?

:vis: says you prevent half (rounded up). :VIS: says "As above, and prevent half... (rounded up)". So, if my poor gargoyle gets hit for 3, does a single superior Rockheart prevent ALL the damage? I guess it comes down to, does "for the remainder of combat" include this strike that I'm preventing damage from right now? Is :VIS: kind of like playing basic :vis: twice?

Rockheart
Combat
:tha: Strike: dodge.
:vis: Prevent half the damage (round up) done by the opponent's strike. (Doing this twice would prevent all damage from the strike.)
:VIS: As above, and prevent half the damage (round up) done by each strike of the opponent for the remainder of combat. A vampire may play only one Rockheart at superior each combat.

Unfortunately, LSJ only addressed Rockheart in 1 thread on the newsgroup, here:

I would say no, it is not like playing basic twice.

by each strike of the opponent for the remainder of combat.

The extra prevent should not include the strike which has already resolved.

Correct.
If you get punched for 3 and play superior Rockheart, you prevent 2 (and will prevent half of each opponent's strike for the remainder of combat).
