I would think that "(after the replacement card is drawn)" is just reminder text.
So:
- Methuselah X plays Liquidation, waits for as-played cards
- all meth's pass
- Trog meth looks at Meth X hand, by card text (where you'd normally replace)
- Liquidation effect takes hold

"When any Methuselah plays a master card, you may look at that Methuselah's hand (after the replacement card is drawn)."Troglodytia's text says that you look at the player's hand after the replacement card is drawn. Does that only apply to cards replaced normally?
If your prey plays Liquidation, do you look at their hand after he plays it? Or do you look at his hand during his discard phase, after he replaces the Liquidation?
