file Methuselahs order of priority when the acting isn't involved

Considering the ruling
groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/fdb5cf79f87e36b8
and
groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/6d7a37a626e6e9cb

we know that if the acting Methuselah A plays Taunt the Caged Beast at superior and makes minions controlled by B and E fight each other, then B will have the priority over E to play cards (because of the turn order)

What is the priority order for Methuselahs to play cards during that combat (cards playable even when not involved in combat such as Martyr's Resilience)?

1/ A (because A is the acting Methuselah) > B > E > the others
2/ A > B > C > D > E (the turn order)
3/ B (because B has the priority during the combat, maybe even over A) > A > C > D > E
3/ something else

Name: Taunt the Caged Beast
[SoC:C, KoT:C]
Cardtype: Action
Discipline: Animalism
[ani] (D) Enter combat with any vampire, with an optional maneuver in that combat.
[ANI] Choose a ready vampire controlled by your predator and another controlled by your prey (not usable when only one other Methuselah is in the game). The chosen vampires enter combat. If only one is ready at the end of that combat, he or she gains 4 blood.

Name: Martyr's Resilience
[BL:R1]
Cardtype: Combat
Discipline: Auspex & Fortitude
Only usable by an untapped vampire not involved in the current combat.
[aus][for] Prevent 1 damage to a minion or retainer in combat.
[AUS][FOR] Burn X blood to prevent X+1 damage to a minion or retainer in combat.

The Sequencing Rules are quite clear that the acting Methuselah always goes first, as is LSJ's priority order (that you link):

1) Acting
2) (D)-Target/Blocker
3) Others (clockwise from Acting)

At every stage, the acting player always has the opportunity to play the next card or effect. ... Once she is finished, the opportunity passes to the defending Methuselah (in the cases of directed actions and combat), then to the rest of the Methuselahs in clockwise order from the acting Methuselah.

Of course, in 99% of combats, all that's going on is the two fighters going back and forth, so you only need to handle those (and the acting Methuselah is implicitly being skipped).

Strictly, though, the acting Methuselah still goes first.

You need to be careful about groups.google.com/d/msg/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/9ArBwoYDquw/y-nmJqY3em0J , though.

Yes.

That's correct at the time (2007), but not strictly so now. (It implied A (usually skipped) > B > C (usually skipped) > D (usually skipped) > E.)

Keepers of Tradition (2008) changed the definition of (D) action, so that TtCB is now a (D) action.

So the order of priority is:

Acting Methuselah
Targets - and tie-break them where necessary
Other people

So if B is in combat with E, it looks like:

A (usually skipped) > B (target - tiebreak clockwise) > E (target) > C (clockwise, usually skipped) > D (clockwise, usually skipped)

which is pretty much the order of blocks for an undirected action.
