times Blood of Acid with Rötschreck

So I was researching Rötschreck some time ago and I was certain, that I understand concept of damage dealt by minion and enviromental damage. And I was sure, that I cannot play Rötschreck, when oposing minion should receive damage from Blood of Acid. Well at least until my friend found this response:
groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/browse_thread/thread/c807f0b29e722868/b679108dc61f3024?q=vtes+blood+of+acid+roetschreck#b679108dc61f3024

Especially "The damage is being inflicted by the vampire that played the Blood
of Acid card," which was written by LSJ concerns me. That would mean, Rötschreck can be played, but once again I would not understand the concept of enviromental damage, since Blood of Acid should be enviromental.

So where am I wrong? Thanks again for help.

Here's a link (more recent) that says that Blood of Acid's damage is environmental (and thus, not eligible for Rötschreck): [LSJ 20020708]
