Grey Thorne and "during your untap phase"
Name: Grey Thorne
Cardtype: Ally
Cost: 2 blood
Unique ghoul with 2 life. 1 strength, 1 bleed. Requires an anarch.
Grey may play cards that require Celerity [cel] or Potence [pot] as an anarch vampire. During your untap phase, if Grey has only 1 life, any ready anarch may burn a blood to add 1 life to him.
Trouble is that his special can only be used once because of the "during clause". And it's unclear who triggers the special: does the Methuselah controlling Grey "ask" to other Methuselah to give him blood, or does the Methuselah controlling an anarch vampire trigger the ability when he has the impulse?

A controls Grey Thorne with 1 life.
After A passes on using effects during A's untap phase, A's prey gets the opportunity to do stuff during A's untap phase. "Stuff" includes using Grey's ability to gain life.
If A's prey passes, we go on with A's grand-prey, etc.
Rulebook 1.6.1.5 wrote
Sequencing. If two or more players want to play a card or effect, the acting Methuselah plays first. At every stage, the acting player always has the opportunity to play the next card or effect. So after playing one effect, she may play another and another. Once she is finished, the opportunity passes to the defending Methuselah (in the cases of directed actions and combat), then to the rest of the Methuselahs in clockwise order from the acting Methuselah. Note that if any Methuselah uses a card or effect, the acting Methuselah again gets the opportunity to play the next effect.
