Ritual of bitter rose was created by galliard
Can it be used only in combat or also during normal diablerie?
I found some errata page which says
"Ritual of the Bitter Rose - Action Mod and Combat
* Can only be used by an acting vampire who
diablerizes the opposing vampire in combat, by card
text. [VtES]"
link to errata
groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/pPlu7zg58Gw
please somebody clarify

Well, quoting rulings from a long time ago is something, but it is another to check the
current text
(and whatever updates might have been added to the card).
Name: Ritual of the Bitter Rose
[Jyhad:R2, VTES:R, CE:R]
Cardtype: Action Modifier/Combat
Each ready vampire you control gains an amount of blood from the blood bank equal to the amount of blood on a vampire being burned either by diablerie or while in combat with this vampire.
Now, as you can see,the card is both an action modifier and a combat card. It doesn't read "Only usable in combat if an opposing vampire is diablerized" anymore - that was a V:tES bug. If you're into checking ye olde rulings, you'll find this one:
[RTR 19980623] which states (a mere 5 months after the link you give) that Ritual of the Bitter Rose can be played as an action modifier (on a diablerie action) or as a combat card (after playing cards such as Amaranth and Liquefy the Mortal Coil)
So, yes, you can play it as an action modifier, as nothing prevents you from playing it that way (unless you're playing by the rules and texts that were in effect between Jan 1998 and June 1998).

well, sometimes new reprints of cards gave mistakes, where older versions were correct (like Brachach or Hector Sosa)

Well, the last card text have no error.
Most of the time, the text on www.secretlibrary.info/ is up to date. If you really have a doubt, the link of Bertrand is even more up to date, while slightly harder to check.

Indeed. But 99.9% of the time (at least, as far as I know), the error has been fixed in the cardlist .well, sometimes new reprints of cards gave mistakes, where older versions were correct (like Brachach or Hector Sosa)
