Hello, we have a player insisting that he can play Barrenness with Inceptor.

Could we get a ruling confirming otherwise please. Nothing found was really that clear cut.

Inceptor does not grant mal or stri. You may ineffectually put barenness on inceptor, but you may not play it per card text.

Inceptor does not grant mal or stri. You may ineffectually put barenness on inceptor, but you may not play it per card text.

Nor does it grant you MAL or STR.
Maleficia and Striga are not disicplines.
