What about Sword of the Righteous' [val] effect.
"As above" doesn't imply that the [val] effect has the same duration.
Is it correct to assume that the [val] effect last for the current round?

Replace "As [ani] above" with the actual text of [ani] and you get:

A vampire can play only one Sword of the Righteous each combat, and the damage this vampire inflicts with the weapon is aggravated, and this vampire may prevent 1 damage this round.
This is confusing because "A vampire can only play one Sword of the Righteous each combat" is in the way. How it should read:
[VAL] Choose one of this vampire's melee weapons. For the remainder of combat, this vampire inflicts +1 damage each strike with that weapon, and the damage this vampire inflicts with the weapon is aggravated, and this vampire may prevent 1 damage this round. A vampire can play only one Sword of the Righteous each combat.

[y] As above, and gain Z.
doesn't mean Z lasts for the combat.
For instance, does it mean then that Mythic Form's maneuver is valid for the whole combat?

I disagree with you because all combat effects last, by default, only for the current round.

But frankly its all in the meh wording here...
