What strength does the merged version has. +2 strength. If not, why does the advanced version has +1 strength noted?

Btw: Merged Ivan is da bomb. With him even Bundi becomes playable. Very much so considering Ivan has POT.

Advanced Ivan actual text:

Independent: Equipment costs Ivan 2 less blood or pool to equip. +1 bleed. [MERGED] +1 strength.

He does have +1 strength for base and +1 strength for merged.


And you guess what : +1 strength +1 strength = +2 strength !!!

Actually adv Ivan's text is:

Independent: Equipment costs Ivan 2 less blood or pool to equip. +1 bleed.
[merged] +1 strength.

As +1 strength of base stacks with merged +1 strength, total for merged is +2 strength.

So merged text would be:

Independent: If Ivan is ready during your untap phase, you may search your library for a non-location equipment card, show it to all players and put it in your hand. Discard down to your hand size and shuffle your library afterward. Equipment costs Ivan 2 less blood or pool to equip. +1 bleed. +2 strength.
