file Destroy Equipment as a strike vs. Rowan Ring

Destroy Equipment: This effect burns an equipment card of the opposing minion. If there is more than one piece of equipment on the opposing minion, the striking minion chooses which one is burned. The equipment can still be used up to the point at which the destroy equipment strike resolves. The effect may specify destroy weapon instead of equipment, in which case a weapon must be chosen.

The Rulebook states that the Destroy Equipment strike effect has to be directed at an equipment on the opposing minion.

The Rowan Ring is transfereed to the struck minion as part of its strike effect.
Strike effects (of the same speed) are resolved simultaniously.

What happens if:
a) The Rowan Ring and the Destroy Equipment Strike are at the same speed (i.e. Shattering Blow)
b) the Rowan Ring Strike is announced with First Strike, and the Destroy Equipment Strike as a normal Strike.

Is the Rowan ring destroyed or not?

….

Is the Rowan ring destroyed or not?

Yes, Rowan Ring is destroyed and also the opposing vampire is sent to torpor and he or she doesn't unlock as normal during the unlock phase as long as he or she remains in torpor. The targeted equipment to be destroyed is chosen when announcing the strike and is still a valid target when resolving the strikes as it is still an equipment card of the opposing minion.

b) the Rowan Ring Strike is announced with First Strike, and the Destroy Equipment Strike as a normal Strike.

Is the Rowan ring destroyed or not?

No, when resolving the Rowan Ring with first strike it is resolved before a normal strike and as the opposing vampire is sent to torpor the opposing vampires strike will not be resolved at all. Rulebook reference

Rulebook:

First Strike: A strike done with first strike is resolved before a normal strike. Thus, if the opposing minion is burned or sent to torpor by a strike done with first strike, their strike will not be resolved at all. If the opposing minion was striking with a weapon that is stolen or destroyed with first strike, then the opposing minion simply loses their strike altogether. If both minions strike with first strike, then the strikes are resolved simultaneously. A strike done with first strike will still not resolve before a combat ends effect (which always resolves first), and a dodge still works against the effects of a strike done with first strike.

True, I forgot that a wounded minions strike isnt resolved anymore.
What would happen happen if you would prevent the sending to torpor, or delay it, like with Undead Persistence? is the ring stil not destroyed, sicne at the time of the resolvement of the strike, the ring is not valid target anymore?

Correct, Rowan Ring is not destroyed as it is no longer a valid target because the equipment card has been moved to the opposing minion (it is no longer an equipment card of the opposing minion) that is striking to destroy that equipment which is yet to be resolved and therefore that strike is lost (the target can’t be changed)/does nothing.
