Hello Fellow Mathuselah,

I have another question that Apeared in our Playgroup.

Can i play Multiple Ashes to Ashes with a single Undead Persistence?

Here is the Hipotetical Situation:

In combat with another vampire i become wounded and play (in this order), [THN] Ashes to Ashes and [for] Undead Persistence.

The question is: Can i in the subsequent rounds play [THN] Ashes to Ahes without needing another Undead Persistence since it says i will not go to torpor until combat ends or would i need a new [for] Undead Persistence for every [THN] Ashes to ashes?

Thank you for your time,

Name: Ashes to Ashes
[BL:R2, LoB:R]
Cardtype: Combat
Discipline: Thanatosis/Fortitude
[for] Only usable by a vampire being burned; he or she is sent into torpor instead.
[thn] Prevent all damage. This vampire unlocks and goes to torpor (ending combat).
[THN] As [thn] above, and this vampire gains 2 blood from the blood bank.
Artist: Talon Dunning

Name: Undead Persistence
[Jyhad:U2, VTES:U, Sabbat:U, SW:PV, Anarchs:PAG]
Cardtype: Combat
Discipline: Fortitude
[for] Only usable when this vampire should go into torpor. {Instead,} this vampire gets an optional press{, } will not go to torpor until combat ends {but} is still considered wounded and can be burned as normal{}. If three rounds of combat pass with no cards played, combat ends. This vampire is sent into torpor after combat.
[FOR] Prevent 2 damage.
Artist: Clint Langley; Scott Kirschner

At which level do you want to play the cards?

There's something I don't understand: if your vampire is wounded, it means that they are send to torpor because of unprevented aggravated damage, or a "strike: send to torpor (e.g., Coma).

In both cases, there is no damage to prevent. Since Ashes to Ashes at [thn] and [THN] is a damage prevention card, it cannot be played.

Aren't you mixing up things with the [for] level of the card that is not a prevention card, but a replacement effect and that is unrelated to the [thn] effect? (Short version: [thn] is not "as [for] above")

I think William is mixing wounded status and receiving agg damage.
So I think the sequence is:
Receive agg.
Prevent with AtA.
Stop going torpor with UP.
Receive more damage.
Prevent with AtA.

And the question: Does first UP stop second AtA from sending you torpor, or needs new UP played if one wishes to continue playing more AtA?
