"If Valerie is in combat with a vampire you can burn 1 pool once each round to make her immune to all non-aggravated damage from a strike or damaging effect."
So "A strike or damaging effect."
That's singular, not plural.
So, let's say she's rushed by Enkidu. Big crows, plus hands. You can only prevent the 3 hands or 2 birds, right?
Because wording?

Correct. You choose to prevent either the damage from the strike, or the damage from the damaging effect (the Carrion Crows)."If Valerie is in combat with a vampire you can burn 1 pool once each round to make her immune to all non-aggravated damage from a strike or damaging effect."
So "A strike or damaging effect."
