Lay low + illusions of the kindred

HI

Illusions of the kindred is played and new vampire is anarch, somehow they diablerize and play Lay Low, does they go to uncontrolled region or get removed from play?

Lay Low

Requires an anarch.
Only usable when a blood hunt referendum passes and would burn this anarch. Move this anarch to the uncontrolled region (breaking any temporary control effects). Any cards and counters on this vampire remain with him or her (but are out of play as long as the vampire remains uncontrolled).

Only usable before range is determined.
Combat ends. Move the bottom card from your crypt to your ready region. That minion does not contest any other minions or titles in play. That vampire gains blood equal to half their capacity rounded down. That vampire and the opposing minion enter combat. Remove that minion from the game at the end of combat (if they are still in play).
As above, but that vampire gains blood equal to their capacity.

They would go to the uncontrolled region as the "remove from the game" effect is only applicable if they are still in play and that isn't the case after resolving Lay Low which resolves before the combat has reached "End of Round" in this scenario, relevant ruling [PIB 20110810]

It is perfectly possible to play IotK, Horrid reality, Amaranth, Lay Low, and finish up with Undue influence to get a free vampire with a flamethrower. It seldom works though. MataHari and Danielle Diron would be the usual suspects, with Vlad Tepes as backup.
