Deep Ecology must be played before resolution. Locking and entering combat is part of the resolution, so it's not possible to play it after locking but before combat.

Vampire A bleed and vampire B blocks succesfully, vampire A plays Deep Ecology with pro to untap and now combat begins.
Is this reaction possible to play in this situation ?
