file Strike: Send to Torpor vs damage

Hello i have question according to this part of rulebook:

"Note that the effects of a strike are applied and then damage is resolved. This timing is important for some special strikes. If one or both of the combatants are no longer ready, because one has taken too much damage, for instance, then the round and the combat end immediately.

This is true at any point during combat, not just during strike resolution."

when we have 2 vampires in combat and vampire A chooses to strike "Strike: Send opposing vampire to torpor" and vampire B chooses "Strike: hand strike", then vampire B goes to torpor during strike resolution step.

Does it mean that we should skip Damage Resolution step and Press step, and go directly to End of Combat step?

Will vampire A recieve damage from hand strike?

No, both strikes resolve at same time, B goes to torpor while A licks his wounds from the hand strike

Yeah I understand but damage resolution is seperate step after strike resolution, quetion is, if vampire goes to torpor in strike resolution step then i this step combat should end, and damage resolution step shouldn'y occour

so, the strikes are annouced, them both are handled, one doing damage, another send the opposing vampire to torpor, now the combat sequence is shortned and end of round effects can be played if any, only the prees step is really skipped

the main thing here is that combat cannot end as long as there is unhandled damage...unfortunately, that isn't made clear from the rules (but will likely be added in a future update).
