When to tap Enkil Cog was created by yurian
Hi there,

I have few questions re the use of Enkil Cog , which I couldn't find answered in previous Forum entries.

Say player B asks for the impulse/priority to active player A, in order to take an action with Enkil Cog. Once player A decides to pass the impulse to B:
- When does player B have to lock Enkil Cog? Does B need to do so when asking for the impulse? Or just when about to take the action?
- If the latter case (i.e. only needing to lock Enkil Cog when about to take the action), can player B decline taking an action and so not lock Enkil Cog? In that case, is player B entitled to use Enkil Cog at a later time / player's turn? And if "passing".
- And lastly, if player B declines to take an action, does the impulse go back to player A? Or since player B "passed", does the minion phase come to an end preventing player A from continuing taking actions with his/her minions that turn?

Thanks much for the responses!

as i see, the the tapping of enkil cog is the asking for the impulse, if the player B change his mind is just pass back and spend the opportunity to act and make player A lose opportunity to continue taking actions (because both have passed and ended that minion phase)

maybe i'm wrong but, let's see if someone give another answer

when the acting player announces they end their minion phase the impulse is passed around the table (before moving to the next phase) and this is when B would be able to lock EC to take an action.

B can always ask for the impulse and A can choose to pass it to them even though they would like to continue to act after B has done so.... though this with the risk that B doesn't actually act and instead passes (with the rest of the table) which then effectively has ended A´s minion phase... only if B (or another player does something other than passing) would the impulse go back to A to continue with their minion phase.

Hi there.
Thanks for the response. Still, one question remains: when exactly does EC tap? When asking for the impulse? Or at later moment?
One could ask for the impulse, and when getting it (player A passing it), decline acting. Would EC tap in these circumstances?

Just follow the card text: "During any Methuselah's minion phase, this vampire can lock this card to take an action."
Asking for the Impulse does not force you to lock EC and perform an action.
