What is the timing of a queued combat?
I know the card isnt out yet but some players have asked what is the timing of this.
I assumed it was after the action resolves (succeeds or gets blocked and failed) then the queued combat gets to resolve next. Otherwise why use queued instead of begin a combat? But im not an English major so im asking these just to be sure.
This is in relation to the Hedonism action modifier card. Sorry the card isnt out yet and is just spoiled so i didnt post the card details here.

Name: Siren's Lure
[BL:R1, LoB:R, POD:DTC]
Cardtype: Action Modifier
Discipline: Melpominee/Celerity
[cel] Burn 2 blood to get +1 stealth.
[mel] Only usable by a ready unlocked vampire other than the acting minion if a minion attempts to block. That attempt fails and the blocking minion cannot attempt to block this action again. Lock this vampire and the blocking minion. After the action resolution, this vampire and the blocking minion enter combat.
[MEL] As [mel] above, but do not lock this modifying vampire.

IMHO it should therefore work the following:
- action resolution:
- effect resolution (e.g. bleed resolution, referendum)
- after effect resolution window (e.g. cards "after referendum")
- queued combat - after action resolution (e.g. Freak Drive)

Combat always happens during action resolution by default, so I don't see why "queue" should happen "after action resolution".

3. Resolve the Action
If the action is successful (all block attempts were unsuccessful), then the cost of the action is paid and the effects of the successful action take place.
If the action is blocked, then any card played to perform the action is burned and the block is resolved with these two simultaneous consequences: the blocking minion is locked and enters combat with the acting minion (see Combat). If an effect ends the action before the block resolution or one of these two consequences (such as entering combat), neither consequence occurs. The effects of the action do not take place when the action is blocked. Note that the action’s cost, if any, is only paid if the action succeeds; the cost is not paid if the action is blocked. The costs of action modifiers and reaction cards are always paid when the cards are played, regardless of the success of the action.

Is queue effect instant or delayed if tied to minions being locked? Are there multiples or it is always queue of 1? Can there be multiple queues from separate effects? What is queue anyway in VTES?

Discord Hidden Lurker ThreadHere are the general guidelines:
1/ combats happen only during action resolution
2/ combats can be chained (extending the resolution)
3/ there's a window between combat to play "after combat" non-combat effects (such as Hidden Lurker (action modifier), but also Obedience (reaction))
4/ if the action is ending by a game state check (readiness), combats cannot added to the chain, but also it cannot be continued (even if you fix the state with Warsaw Station typically)"
Discord Hidden Lurker ThreadIf the action is blocked, then the action resolves with a "lock+enter combat" thing called "block resolution". That's the start of it. The action resolution can then be extended with more combats.
Discord Guardian ThreadWe figured that `after bleed resolution` is a part of `action resolution`, similar to `after combat` for Hidden Lurker. And that Voter Captivation would still be in the Freak Drive window, since it refers to `resolution of a political **action** whose referendum passed`. (Cards which refer to political actions would need to be `after referendum` for political actions to be in the same window.
Ankha: it looks right
So a queue extends the action resolution window. My take is it there can be multiple combats queued with multiple minions. E.g. Psyche! can still be played to start a new combat during a rush / block combat, and after all combats with the acting minion are resolved, Hedonism 1 combat and Hedonism 2 combat are resolved.
