file Shroud of Decay at Superior

Hi guys!

A question came up today about Shroud of Decay.

Can I play it, at superior, even if the target has fewer than seven cards in his ash heap? Isn't removing the 7 cards the cost of the action? For example, the target only has 5 cards in his ash heap, can I remove them and, since they haven't reached seven cards, the target doesn't burn the three pool. Does it work like this? Doesn't make any sense to me but, if works this way, I want to provide an official answer.

Thank you.

No, you need to remove the seven cards to make the 3 pool damage, if don't have seven cards on the target's ash heap you can't even try the action at superior

you even need to declare which ones are the 7 cards you are intending to remove from your prey's ash heap when you declare the action
