Burning the Grenade is part of the strike resolution, so either you resolve the strike fully (damage + burn after use), or you burn the Grenade with Bauble before strike resolution, in which case you don't inflict the damage.

This is the point I really need to confirm

Also relevant: in order to burn the Bauble, you need to have the impulse
Nobody has the impulse when strikes resolve (which includes damage resolution) so you don't have a window of opportunity to do what you are thinking of
