Dogged Pursuit at superior on a vampire already having one attached

Ok, so the argument is: a card has effect A, but can have effect B. It is allowed to play it for effect A, even if effect B can maybe not be resolved.

I underatand the logic, i cant think of an other example rifht now. Intresting.
