From the general rulings page:
Here' the actual ruling:
Since we no longer place allies into the uncontrolled region, this ruling now seems moot. Can we get confirmation on that and removal from the general rulings section?
If an ally would enter play and contest, and if all other copies are yielded, that ally returns into play in the uncontrolled area where that ally was placed when entering contest. That ally can't act on that turn. [ LSJ 20050428 ]

Right. Someone else controls Deviki. You recruit another copy. The other Methuselah yields. In your untap, you have Deviki, but still planted in your uncontrolled region.
(This should probably be changed, since it is highly unintuitive -- perhaps in the next rulebook).
Since we no longer place allies into the uncontrolled region, this ruling now seems moot. Can we get confirmation on that and removal from the general rulings section?

It is no longer valid since allies are now put directly into the ready region. (This is a REVERSAL).
I've removed it from the General rulings page .
