Revisiting Tribute to the Master vs targeting was created by the1andonlime
Tribute to the Master has a similar text template to Vaticination, Border Skirmish, and Petra Resonance
I know it has been ruled in 2010 that Tribute does not target your vampires
However, I wonder if it may be time to revisit the ruling and if it needs to be reversed
The rules for targeting say:
Tribute looks like it fits the requirements for counting as targeting your vampires, via both the rules for targeting and the similarity to the listed cards
I know Directed Actions have a separate set of rules for themselves, and that is probably the only argument I can find as to why Tribute is not targeting your vampires

The rules for targeting say:
Target: A Methuselah or a card being affected by another card or effect (usually an action) that is not a referendum. Many cards or effects will have one or more targets, and the specific eligible targets are defined in their card texts. <snip> Sets of counters on a card (such as blood on a vampire) or possessed by a Methuselah (such as pool) are never targeted directly: they can only be targeted as a quantity via the card or the Methuselah. The card or Methuselah does not need to have that exact quantity: if they do not have enough of these counters, then as many counters as possible are affected...

Otherwise, the Methuselah revealing the highest cost steals 3 pool from the Methuselah revealing the lowest cost. All Methuselahs shuffle their crypts afterward.
