times Form of Mist + Telepathic Tracking/Psyche!

We had a possible issue turn up on Monday night regarding Form of Mist and Psyche!. This then turned into a wider debate about how Form of Mist interacts with the "continue combat cards".

So, when Telepathic Tracking is played after Form of Mist, it continues the combat instead of ending the combat. So:

a) After the combat, does the action continue at +1 stealth (since TT extended the current combat) OR
b) TT continues the combat and cancels the 'continue the action' effect of Form of Mist?

When Psyche! is played after Form of Mist, it begins a NEW combat. So:

a) Does the new combat end the "continue the action" OR
b) Does the action continue after the combat anyway?

I suspect it is a) in both cases but I'd like a confirmation.

(Particularly for the TT, I suspect it should still allow the action after since TT merely continues the current combat and NOT starting a new combat like Psyche!).

* Any effect that starts a new combat after the combat that was
ended by superior Form of Mist will nullify the "continue action"
effect. This includes Psyche (superior), Fast Reaction, and
Hidden Lurker. [LSJ 09-JAN-1998]

Correct, Pendargon, but this is more extensively written in the General Rulings :
Any effect that starts a new combat after the combat that was ended by (or continues the combat that was ended by) a "combat ends and the action continues as if unblocked" will nullify the "continue action" part. This includes Psyche (superior), Fast Reaction, Hidden Lurker, and Telepathic Tracking.[LSJ 19980109]

If you continue the combat or start a new combat, you lose whatever was supposed to happen after the first combat.
Lost effects can be (amongst others):
- sup' Catatonic Fear's damage
- sup' Torrent / Form of Mist / Toreador's Bane 's "action continues"
- Rötschreck's "This vampire is tapped and sent to torpor" (but the card is still put on him)
- sup' Unholy Penance's "put this card.."

Effects that continue the combat / start a new combat are (amongst others):
- sup' Psyche!
- sup' Telepathic Tracking
- sup' Hidden Lurker / Fast Reaction
- sup' Blissful Agony

Now that was an extensive explanation of a concept that seems to puzzle some players a lot.

Thank you!

And also, if your S:CE untaps a minion and ends combat (or ends combat and untaps a minion), the untap part is done before the end of combat.
So, if you Psyche! / TT / .. a Majestying vampire, that vampire is untapped.
Similar with Meld with the Land / Bond with the Mountain. [LSJ 20030717]

So, if you TT a Loving Agony, the :VAL: guy gets to burn 1 blood to untap (and would untap if he chooses to do so), but you won't take 1 damage after combat.

So should I conclude that there is basically no difference between TT and Psyche except that a Psyche would remove things such as Carrion Crows but TT would not?

So Minion A plays a Carrion Crows, Minion B plays a Weather Control. At the Declare Strike Phase, Minion A plays a Form of Mist. Minion B declares an irrelevant strike (e.g. Hand-strike)

Option 1
In response, Minion B plays Telepathic Tracking. So the Weather Control and Carrion Crows would remain in play (since the existing combat is continuing) and the additional text of Form of Mist would be cancelled.

Option 2
In response, Minion B plays Psyche. So the Weather Control and Carrion Crows end, the text of Form of Mist is cancelled and a new round of combat starts.
