times Damage Caused by the Other Minion

I'm also adding that I know very very little background. OK, Malkavians are mad, and the Tzimisce and Lasombra created the Sabbat. Tremeres aren't vampires (but Carna can still Govern down to Selena).

Sometimes, background can help understanding cards, but remember that, most of the time, the game had to be adapted, and now has its own keywords and mechanics, which sometimes are incompatible with the WoD (yes, Igo can torporize Enkidu with a Rowan Ring, and Amaranth him.)

Well the point about this is more so that it seems obvious that Street Cred is intended to reward combat (being a :pot: card, checking for damage dealt) but it counts less damage than Taste of Vitae and costs more. Outside some kind of Weenie-Pot-For deck that can guarantee its own safety, there is little reason to play Street Cred. By amending either Street Cred or to allow "environmental" damage to come from the minion playing the card but still only be prevented as non-strike damage this card will rarely if ever see play and not in anything intended to be Tier 1 Competitive.

That point is obvious.

But I don't get the point here.

Lots of cards rarely see play, or don't see competitive play. Who cares? This doesn't grant them status to be discussed as possibly having their text redone.

Because potence has so much acceess to environmental damage, right? :p

More seriously though, I have had quite a lot of success with Street Cred in my !Brujah rush deck.

It goes both ways: your opponent's Carrion doesn't count either, so it's a rather good deal.
