I haven't watched the whole finals, but I see a couple early-ish mistakes that cross-table buddies shouldn't make.
1) The Ventrue player should have no problem with Hektor eating the .44 guy. Hektor may be the only player on the table who can handle a Girls deck, or at least keep it on its heels. By trying to burn him with votes, it creates some animosity early. If Hektor actually burned, the !Toreador would probably walk away with the table.
2) Francois calls a Parity Shift. Instead of demanding that the torry gives him 2-3 pool, the Ventrue player let's the torry take all five. Hektor is not the type of deck to bleed out the torry anytime soon, so there was no legitimate reason to let that vote go through.
In addition to that, the Ventrue player should be trying to block the Embrace action, not the hunt action. It will obviously prove to be too many actions later on to be able to deal with.
