It's been around forever, and isn't a problem by itself. The problem is combo with Villein.

And since Villein made about 350 mastercards worth slotting in your deck, I'm more than willing to sacrifice one master to be not forced to use 7 out of my 12 non-trifle masters for a Minion Tap.
If it was up to me, Giant's Blood would be banlisted for 2012.

Full Villein + GB on vampire with or more should immediately make the whole table look at you.
You take 1 from every Kine (not from Predator), some bleeds that would usually go elsewhere are bounced to you, no more vote buddies for a while, Pentex on your minion stays one turn more, etc.

PRO. It has been around since forever, and yes it might be strong but its very situational. Once per game use, and in a table of four or five you cannot rely on pulling off the Villein/GB combo consistently. Especially once they figure what your deck does, i have players who throw it down on their vampires for 0 gain or on the offending decks prey's vamps just to screw with that deck.
If ever something has to be nerfed i dont think GB should be it.

Once per game it is quite ok. Not too much of a problem when everyone can play it
