Reading the cards may actually help. Because wash ain't a surefire solution either.

I agree with the1andonlime.
And there are only so many ways of gaining multiple MPAs. Playing Anson already gives a (relative) high probability of contesting vampires.

In addition to the fact that trying to race Ashur without MPA is more or less futile, there is another problem : it suppose that Ashur tablet are so powerful that every deck that can will play it. It's as false as saying that every deck in gr1-2 will alway play Anson.
Still, I agree with the OP that Ashur is extremely bad for the game, to the point I actually advocate total ban. Saying it will be so much overplayed that people will back out of playing it is more or less resignation.

I agree that recursion should be a thing, or even a , , , or thing.
Ashur was another name for Cappadocius, the ultimate founder of those clans and disciplines.
I think that the 13 cards you get back into your library should be chosen randomly from your ash heap. You should get your 3 pool, choose one card to put into your hand, and then shuffle random cards back into your library. That would certainly speed up the process, wouldn't it?
Ashur Tablets could simply be a tech option to deal with running out of library.

It's not about the speed, but the effect. "13 random cards"-effect is still OP.
