file Tremere with CHI

I built a deck more focused on Nightmare Curse. Aidan Lyle is the star, some !Tre get CHI as soon as possible and together you Curse and Bleed. My deck is too unfocused but I think the locking AND tapping of Nightmare Curse is very strong. With the Citadel it is ridiculously cheap to do and Deflections and Conditionings cost nothing. Best with Ankara Citadel is Will-o'-the-Wisp. -4 intercept for 1 blood.

The way I see it, a fatty deck like this has to either focus on surviving or be totally gun-ho. I have focused more on surviving so that things can be timed properly. I could see trying to make the Ankara Citadel show up more reliably because it has a big effect on how the deck works. Maybe -2 Rutors +1 Vast Wealth, +1 Magic of the Smith? With 4 search cards and two equipment, I'm probably getting closer. What would you cut?

I think you're kind of trying to smoosh together two decks here. One is a Dr. Dee deck, which could be very good. The other is a cheap lockdowns deck, in which Dr. Dee doesn't really fit. Before giving advice about what to cut, I'd need to know which part of the deck is the one you want to preserve.

This has come up so many times that I'm thinking about petitioning Jeff to add it to the Decks Questions post - something like, "What part of the deck is a sacred cow and is intended to be the core of the deck?"

There are great vampires with :CHI::DOM: if you want to make a good stealth-bleed deck. (I am just thinking out loud at this point)

The deck is more about chi + dom than Dr. Dee specifically. It just so happened that 2 Tremere had chi/CHI in group 4/5, so I stuck them together and threw in clan toys. THA and AUS were a nice byproduct.

Warning: I am now going to pee all over your thread. But it's friendly pee! Warm and comforting, not like the hate-pee you normally find on the internets.

If I was going to build a DOM/CHI deck, I personally would use guys who actually have DOM/CHI. Funnily enough, all those vampires are in the same grouping pair, so score! That would be

Diego Giovanni (ani CHI DOM NEC POT, 8)
Saul Meira (CHI DOM OBT POT, 8)
Servius Marius Pustula (ANI CHI DOM obf OBT POT, 10)

By awesome coincidence, they all share POT. Two of them also have OBT, and one has ANI and another ani. There should be enough extra little tools in that discipline spread to do something more interesting than DOM/CHI stealth/bleed there, so have at it.

I did make this version:

IMO, CHI is much more important for DOM, except when trying to use Govern to get cheaper guys. Having a mix is OK, especially if the basic dom is on the lower capacity vampires. In my version, I just didn't include Saul because I don't have any copies and Diego's special is something I've really been looking for an opportunity to capitalize on. I'll have to build and play one or both of these decks and see how they do. Thanks for the input, now I need to shower ;O
