I think the only deck that NEEDS ashurs is fluid combat. The first time i actually needed it was for red cqrds and rushes in g2 gargoyles.
Yet more reason to errata tablets.
Also, the Bell deck with Beast and Theo, i remember, and it needs tastes because in an ohio meta, you will get your minions punched, shot, or lit on fire at least once a game. I remember him saying blood management was rough in that dexk.

I would play 7 Tastes of Vitae in an 80-card deck.
Now that you can't play Lilith's Blessing, do you really want the Parthenon/Masters module? You could drop Ashur Tablets and Parthenon, maybe add a Hungry Coyote, and increase the actions and combat cards proportionally.
Having Lilith's Blessing in this deck was vital, but I could have taken out Ashurs and Parthenons even when Lilith's Blessing could have been played. I did try to get rid of Ashurs and Parthenons, and have more combat+actions. It didn't work. You need to have rush ability on a vampire if you want to play more than 35 combat cards in a 90 card deck - even if you have strong combat special synergies like Jacko, Richer and Julian.
I'm actually thinking of adding Hungry Coyote, but I'll add hunting ground first - or both. I also want to try out Spoils of War, which seems okay - although really unreliable.

This deck works better with Ashurs, since you can adopt to early card flow by getting back what you have already used. For instance, I seem to recycle some combat and some bleed when Ashurs trigger. On the other hand, there are cases where I've drawn almost all of my Rumbles and have had only one (successful) combat before I manage to trigger Ashurs - then I'll recycle more Rumbles.
What I want to say is, that this kind of deck suffers if it has too much red cards. Reds will eventually clog your hand in big ratios unless you have vampires with rush ability. Bad draws like having most of your rushes first and then your red cards is as possible as having good draw. Ashur Tablets twist the probability, which makes them really powerful - you benefit if you've had bad draw and you benefit if you've had good draw.
This deck has fluid combat without Ashurs, but having Ashurs makes the combat even more fluid. Only thing with this deck is, that you shouldn't throw combat cards like candy - as in any combat emphasized deck. It's very important how you tend your hand when you play with this deck.
Anyway, thanks for the insight!

Having played (extremely slightly tweaked) an earlier verison of this deck quite a lot I really have to agree with Jussi here -thanks to the Ashur module your combat and ousting power will be increased the more the game progresses and YOU will be the one deciding which way the deck is going to be leaning towards. This deck works better with Ashurs, since you can adopt to early card flow by getting back what you have already used.
Anyway, thanks for the insight!
