DRAFT Belgian Championship, Brussels, 9 July 2022

To warm up for the constructed Belgian National Championship the following day, I am pleased to officially announce the very first edition of the

*** Belgian Limited National Championship 2022 ***

Date: Saturday, July 9, 2022
Registration: pre-registration mandatory before the day of the event
Booster draft starting time: 11:30
Expected first round starting time: 13:30
Expected finishing time: 22:30

Type of Event: Limited National Championship (booster draft) (see the limited tournament rules )

Booster packs: Jyhad boosters + "Full blood" home-made boosters (combination of cards from First Blood and New Blood and crypt cards from the Anthology set) + possibly others, depending on the number of players. UPDATE: see the post below for detailed information.

Number of rounds: 3 + final
Time limit per round: 2 hours

Entry fee: 25 euros (includes the cards to be drafted)

Pre-registration is mandatory to make sure that sufficient cards are available for drafting and to allow for a timely start of the tournament as soon as the shop opens. If you intend to participate, please sign up as soon as possible by replying to this thread - or join the Facebook event .

*** How to reach ***

By train: The Outpost is situated less than 10 minutes walking from Brussels Central Station (Gare Centrale).
If you arrive from Paris/London, you will end up at Brussels South Station (Gare du Midi). From there, take the metro line 2 or line 6, direction "Simonis (Elisabeth)", get off after about 8 minutes at the stop "Madou", then walk 5 minutes to the Outpost.

By car: beware that parking is NOT free around the Outpost on Saturdays.

Each player will receive an assortment of:

• Jyhad booster packs (19 cards each)
• "Full Blood" booster packs (11 cards each) - see below

What are "Full Blood" boosters?
"Full Blood" boosters are random booster packs built from the following product:

• 1x each New Blood starter deck (Malkavian, Nosferatu, Toreador, Tremere, Ventrue)
• 1x each of four First Blood starter deck (French version) (Nosferatu, Toreador, Tremere, Ventrue)
• 44 crypt cards from the Berlin Anthology set (all the crypt cards in the set, minus 1x Anarch Convert, 1x New Blood and 2x Valkyrie)

Each of the 49 resulting booster packs contains 2 crypt cards and 9 library cards. The content of each booster is full randomized, except that no booster can contain more than one copy of the same card.

Number of boosters and minimum crypt/library

• With up to 12 players: 3 Jyhad + 3 Full blood
  -> Minimum crypt 8, minimum library 40, no recursion.
• With 13-16 players: 2 Jyhad + 3 Full blood
  -> Minimum crypt 6, minimum library 30, one recursion*.

* Recursion: a player can use a discard phase action to shuffle all the library cards in his or her ash heap back into his or her library. This can be done whether or not there are any cards left in the player's library or hand.
