VEKN VTES Survey

Hello

Together with Szewski we are still working on general rules for a marketing team. Probably the proper announcement will be prepared after EC in Budapest.

However one “issue” is certain. In the future we would like to run open discussion on the forum regarding marketing strategy. We believe that there are many people who will participate for the good of us all.
I would like to start this participation here and now.

At the moment there is one specific project I am working on. And I would like to share of it with You.

Decision has been made to gather some data regarding Vtes players and their opinions of new Vtes expansions.

I present you Beta version of the survey.
I would be happy if you provide any suggestions, proposals, additional questions, etc.

For your information:
1) Proper mechanism for the survey has been already selected (it is not the best, but it is free, protected, and allow full data control)
2) Final version of the survey will be distributed among all National Coordinators in order to be filled by most number of players as it is possible. The account on this forum will be not necessary to participate in the survey.
3) It is my intension to gather data from less active players or even from people who quit VTES.

GENERAL QUESTIONS REGARDING NEW EXPANSION SETS

1) VEKN, the official player organization for VTES, is going to publish new expansion sets. The first expansion - “Danse Macabre” is planned to be released between 2012-2013. Did you hear of this expansion?

Do you have to build a list yourself? That list is at least missing Switzerland and Belarus that seem to have some local activity. It is bound to happen if you make a list of countries by hand.

Do you count the number of games or gatherings? We play once per week and each evening hosts 2 games. Do I answer 4 or 8? Might be worth 2 separate questions?

Generally, all questions in Part II probably deserve a Why? follow-up with open full text answer.

I realize I misread your post a tiny bit. I've edited out my original point. My new point is this:

I would recommend adding a "VEKN are releasing a new set at some point in the future, etc, etc", just to add some background for players who don't know about the new set.

Then it's likely people will complete it and it will be MUCH easier to collate the results.

I'd like to complete the survey — but no way would I even consider doing so in the current format...

Ke., I am under the belief you misunderstood the topic, since the "current format" is not known from the public yet. They could have already chosen surveymonkey, for example.

The topic is only to talk about what data should be collected and how to formulate the questions.
