Modern and legacy as formats

I agree that a "modern" format is a great addition to the game and is specifically designed to attract new players to the game. I don't think it needs to be limited to an "introductory" format either.

I am organizing an 4 tournament event in LA for February 2022 and one of the tournaments will be testing out the v5 only model. I know the card pool is not huge, but I am going to give it a whirl and see what the feedback is.

Off topic, what I would really like to see from BCP would be some sort of v5 card pack that players could use to draft with a starter deck and then customize the starter with the drafted pack cards. I love drafting in MtG and think it would be cool to see something like that in VtES.

That would be a great way to curate and focus Modern as a format, perhaps not as a booster packs but as a annual draft bundle adding needed cards to the format based on balance and variety on top of usual starter releases

100% agreed. A draft bundle of common cards would be super useful for both a draft format event AND for new players to collect more cards to build their collection AND to inject older cards into the v5 card pool that may not have been included in the starters.

As I am currently scratching my head and last hair on it to create boosters from the 4 KickStarter Bundles (to mix it with one Jyhad booster and one First Blood deck) I would love that this Idea could reach the printers !!

A Cube Draft every year just as the V5 Box would be great.

Please Santa and all others gnomes / dwarves and fairies, make The 5 from BCP dream of it until we have them on the shelves...

My two cents abouts vtes drafting and/or cubing: I'd focus on priority picks rather than recreate boosters, at the end you need power distribution rather than randomization. A pile of vampires, a pile of power cards and a pile of cohesion cards. Each player picks one from each and passes and as long as those power cards are not that warping in respect to each other, it should work.

So using the KS bundles which cards would be for you in the Power Cards ?
Under siege, Field training, Unleash Hell's Fury, maybe ?

The Cohesion cards would be the discipline cards.

And Vampires are easy to pick
