A vampire with Perfectionist successfully hunts and a reacting vampire plays Follow the blood. Does the acting vampire gain the blood from Perfectionist?

Perfectionist
Type: Master
Master: archetype.
Put this card on a vampire you control. Once per turn, when this vampire sucessfully performs an action and no reaction cards are played, he or she gains 1 blood after the action is resolved. A vampire can have only one archetype.

Since "Follow the Blood" is a reaction card, "Perfectionist" does not trigger.

@Hakuron Technically, if you look at the timing, the requirements of perfectionist have been met before Follow the Blood can be played

Master: archetype. Put this card on a vampire you control. Once per turn, when this vampire sucessfully performs an action and no reaction cards are played, he or she gains 1 blood after the action is resolved. A vampire can have only one archetype.

Requires a Black Hand vampire. Only usable when a hunt action is successful, after resolution. This Black Hand vampire taps and enters combat with the acting vampire. This reacting vampire gets an optional maneuver or press in that combat.

i.e. Action is successful and resolved then follow the blood is played so the vampire still gets his additional blood then enters combat.

I'd think the Vampire does not receive the blood, for precisely the bolded sections provided by M@rc00_L. Perfectionist effectively checks it's text at the end of the action, after there is no window to play further cards. In effect, gaining the Perfectionist blood confirms the action is over.

Incidentally, I'd say it's fairly poor wording on Follow the Blood just because you shouldn't be playing Reactions to Actions after they're resolved, that's surely the point, but I'd guess the intent of that is to make it clear the combat is NOT part of the Action, but is entirely seperate.

i read the requirements as such:

If action is successful and no reaction is played (during that action), then you can get +1 blood after that action is resolved.

and since follow the blood has to be played after the resolution, the perfectionist's requirements have already been met so the blood is gained before they enter combat.

I think it is the same as for Freak Drive / Concoction of Vitality: Freak Drive is still part of the action, so you can't play it under Concoction. Here, follow by the blood is still part of the action, so you don't gain the blood.
