file Hunting the Beast - Undead Persistence

If "at the end of combat" and "after the end of combat" is the same timing window, rather than "at the end of combat" happening first, there could be knock-on effects to similar card interactions

I find the wording on undead persistence confusing, since it uses two different timings.

Firstly it says "will not go to torpor until combat ends"

And then if the vampire manages to survive the combat, it says "If three rounds of combat pass with no cards played, combat ends. This vampire is sent into torpor after combat."

I consider this contradictory as "combat ends" and "after combat" should definitely not be the same window. However, if the latter wording is respected (the vampire goes to torpor only after combat) then it should get the 2 blood since "after combat" quite literally happens after the combat, meaning the vampire is still ready when opponent goes to torpor and combat ends.

The problem I see with the first line "until combat ends", is that combat ends immediately when the opponent is sent to torpor. And if we respected this wording, then the vampire wouldn't get the 2 blood since it would be sent to torpor at the same time, and therefore would not be ready to receive the blood as per hunting the beasts wording.

So the interpretation depends on which of these lines is respected.

ps. My suggestion for errata: change "until combat ends" with "until after combat ends". (or "until after combat has ended")
