Is inferior Pulse of the Canaille a directed action?
My instincts say "no" but can find no solid evidence to back that up

It does not follow the templating of Vaticination that has been since ruled (and also via the (D) symbol) to be a directed action
Rather, it feels like the action simply grants the controller of the acting minion and ability for the rest of the turn (what that ability does is irrelevant to the directed-ness of the action itself)

I am, however, unable to find another card with a very similar sort of templating

The effect targets all Methuselahs´hands, making them all accessabile to be looked at for the player playing it.

Below is a post where the text was updated to make the targeting clearer and not mix sinuglar and plural.

Below is a post where LSJ clarifies that targeting a player's hand makes an action directed.

The resolution of the action could read as granting you an ability to look at other players' hands, rather than directly revealing other players' hands to you

I couldn't find anything neither, it's a one of a kind.
Since the card, upon resolution, does nothing other than set an effect for the rest of the turn, it is not directed to whatever targets it affects for the rest of the turn.

How do you explain below post from LSJ, where the change was about correcting the grammar of the targeting (changed to the plural form)???

And if there are targets, it cannot be undirected?!?!

Pulse of the Canaille - Action (aus) (3)
* The inferior is grammatically incorrect, mixing singular and plural for
the target. The correct reading is, as in the Jyhad version, "... may
look at all Methuselahs' hands." [LSJ 19980211]
