file Harbingers of Skulls Strengths But Mostly Weaknesses

Yet the HoS got shit in HttB. Shaal Fragment is ok at best, and Din of the Damned and Threading the Path of Orpheus is unplayable. Can´t have been much playtesting going on.

You've obviously never play tested with LSJ before.

Harbinger for me suffer of a simple thing :

!Ventrue : :DOM: :AUS: :FOR:
Harbinger : :NEC: :AUS: :FOR:
Salubri : :OBE: :AUS: :FOR:
!Salubri : :VAL: :AUS: :FOR:

And necromancy is just less good than dominate, nor does it have the load of uncommon effect of obeah. So you're very likely to do what you are trying to do better with one of the three other clan that share two discipline with them. It seem pretty hard to fix.

(also, there is way too many clans that try to take advantage of the ash heap)

I find it odd that you do not mention Reanimated Corpse at all. It is a very good card IMHO.

But that aside, I mostly concur with your analysis. I think the only way to make a very viable Samedi deck without having new cards is to find a new way to exploit more the Reanimated Corpse ally (maybe some rush with disciplinless combat?)

Because the sole mention of samedi were to explain that they were better than the HoS, maybe ? :p

(not that samedi are great ; more like they need another topic)

I think that with the HoS' free combat cards and built-in votes for group 2-3 (a bishop and a priscus) you have potential for a crypt machine that can eventually turn out votes. I have some in mind, but I won't go into specifics here ;) Sabbatness is also useful for them.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Care to explain yourself and thereby actually contributing to the thread?

johannes: Samedi are viable, even if they only have one deck - it's more than the Harbingers have.

That's a good way of looking at it. What do you think the Harbingers need?
