princes and corpses

In the environment when Reanimated Corpse debuted, there was not a lot of agg damage around, so Soak worked a lot better. Now that certain HTTB cards were given to the Baali and the Baali became far more popular to play, there is more than enough agg damage being commonly-seen that not being able to prevent it (using Soak) is unacceptable.

I've done extensive testing on JOL and IRL regarding both cards in my Reanimated Corpse deck for many years and even wrote a few articles about the choice on r.g.t-c.j way back in the day, if publishing means more to you than testing.
In the current environment which has lots of aggravated damage
How do you know that ?

As a caveat, I would add that Flame of the Netherworld and the Unnamed both do only 1 damage. So in this case, it's a supplement to your majesty for the princes.
(constrast sup' Breath of the dragon, where your corpse do have a significant advantage to use Armor of Vitality)
But mainly, at this point, I would fear Angel going down, since he can play neither Armor nor Majesty, and the deck does not exactly have a B plan if Angel can't summon his corpses.
One solution would be Agent of Power. Worse case scenario, you spend a trifle master phase action for nothing.

I tend to think that Flak Jacket, Kevlar Vest, and/or Leather Jacket are easier and better -- though not cheaper -- solutions for Angel's damage problems than AoP.

Thanks for the feedback!
I wasn't sure if Charisma would work. Not sure what brainfart exactly caused me to think that. Pulled Fangs would be nice indeed, probably to be preferred over Target:Vitals.
You have a point there. I consider making the same module work with brujah crypt to abuse Dmitra's special. For the moment I will focus on the govern/ventrue part. I would probably also add some conditioning then.
I don't see too many vampire minions getting stolen. The other minions have better stuff to do than recruiting corpses. Especially if it would cost me two pool and still make my minions less good at recruiting them.
True, I saw a lot of the Unnamed in Budapest.
Having no fear to get blocked, is the start of not getting blocked. If nasty blockers are present, the other vampires should do things that are more scary than a bleeding corpse (e.g. Parity Shift).
I gladly believe you Kevin. But one can never be too reanimated to learn. Do you have a link to those articles?
The plan B is a lawfirm. When Angel is in torpor, I would consider diablerizing him/her and bringing out a new one. Instead of Agent of Power I would rather add Misdirection or Anarch Troublemaker.
Most likely true. But isn't that the case for so many decks. I'm not looking for a tier 1 deck here. I just want a twitch on a common archetype, and one that is not by default vp-less.
Happy new year!
I will let you know how it went with the next reanimation of this deck.

Charisma instead of (or in addition) to Fortitude to make those Corpses last a little longer?
Pulled Fangs for those that block your Corpses only able to do hands-for-1?

I would replace the Fourth Traditions with Governs: it is not worth losing the bleed effect just for a single copy of Dmitra.

If Angel gets stolen you're in a tight spot. You could add spontaneous power to give someone else thn as a backup

, I think that Armor of Vitality is far superior to Soak.
