... you did notice the smiley, no?
And no, I have nothing to add, other than you should make room for a couple of Blood Dolls/Vessels more, the Hunting Ground and Palatial Esatate. Having seen Martin Weinmayer's famous Tremere Deck surviving extreme situations and still making the GW, I'm of the opinion that Blood/Poolgain along with small to medium minions is just awesome. Arcane Library and Chantry really make the Tremere shine.

I didn't mean to be gruff, was just hoping to keep the discussion going. Smilies don't turn useless posts useful.
A quick search of the TWDA and newsgroup didn't reveal Weinmayer's "famous" Tremere deck. Just a few instances of him placing well in an EC or three. Can you point me to a deck list?
With these magics of the smith I could see the Palatial Estate working out. Let me think about that.

Well, from my perspective the post wasn't useless - I really wondered how the name of the deck came to be.
Regarding Martin's deck - I will ask him about the decklist next time we play.
It's really astounding how much punishment (both blood- and poolwise) the Tremere can take. Try to include Sniper Rifle and Ivory Bow, that way the blocks hurt them more then you.

No worries. And I know all too well what it's like running with 2 bounce disciplines and paying for damage taken with the opposing minion's blood.

Martin Weinmayer was the 1999 and 2009 European Champion. You can find one of his Tremere based tournament winning decks here:
www.thelasombra.com/decks/twd.htm#2k2hungary
Mark Loughman won the US Championship tournament with a similar deck, here:
www.thelasombra.com/decks/twd.htm#2k7genconsaturday
Philippe Lang won a tournament just last month with a variant, here:
www.thelasombra.com/decks/twd.htm#2010rbpfpl
Izaak Havelaar won with a similar deck that was a bit lighter in reactions in 2009:
www.thelasombra.com/decks/twd.htm#2k9germanecq
Simon Reed did it too:
www.thelasombra.com/decks/twd.htm#2k9acclcq
Have you taken a look at how they've implemented their successful decks to see if you could take something from them to improve yours?

Thanks, Jeff, your research skills do impress. I totally put back that karma I took when you posted that Maleficia deck earlier in the thread.
I'll take some time to ponder these deck lists. Question is: why not just play one of them? Simon Reed's deck is already quite close in construction.
The one thing those decks make perfectly clear is that I need to play Direct Intervention.
