file Jaroslav & Hektor

Even with Jaroslav, its hars to go melee over grapple. Psyche is good, but grapple shuts down guns, sce, and dodge, with a press. Jaroslav bundi is tempting but lots of parts. Stick breaks fast. Signpost would almost be better since its a pre and lets you hit hard and additial. Grapple, pursuit, signpost, taste, rwtp, and spash of psyche, blur, skin of steel, and disarm seems solid.

Enchant is better than other stuff to accellerate. Show of force is basically taking the place of 1-2 intimidation for this style deck.

Frankly, pascek can tradition for 3 down for 1 blood if acceleration is that needed.

But if you fight with celerity, grapple signpost trumps pascek and a stick. One pumped stick costs 1 pre, hits for 4 if they dont grapple, dodge, sce, or whatever. Then you can hit for 4 omce more and its gone. Press off psuche, or played a blur and 8 is all you get. Signpost hits 3. Then you pursuit for 3 more, or blur for 6 more. Blur is what makes the one round difference between the two, but getting to grapple is an equalizer. Even if you just prsuit, you press from grapple and get more damage than stick would have given.

Also, everyone else sticks for 2, not 4, so pug et al get as much ouch generation from signpost as pascek.

Edit: also, melee sucks. Even Jaroslav+Elihu bundhi grapple doesnt top Ivan K mass reality bundhi grapple. The only way its even CLOSE is they both are meh decks and Pascek has second trad. Ivan getsxhis friend the bundhi, gets mass reality which stacks, and can defend with animalism and draba.

If voting is hugel important to win with this ever, scalpel tongue is funny, and you fan just rush peoplexand laugh. Looks fun, but any deck that does everything doesnt do anything as well as a deck that only does that one thing ....

I do not really understand, why you removed TS's. Getting a weapon is still a big "if" for your deck. As in "if I survive getting the second vamp out". The sad truth about Hektor, that he is costly and sucks at defense. You won't cycle a lot of cards before mid-game as well. In essence, this is more a Pascek's deck, than it is Hektor's, because in that not uncommon "I will have to play with one minion" case you would want Pascek out, not Hektor.

A big eye-opener when building Hektor+something deck is presence of Hardestadt+Gustav Breidenstein tag team. In comparison to Hektor+something case, you have essentially the same combat package, camarilla tech (2nd trads), bouncing, 11 (!) votes on the table, 5 (!) disciplines in common and +1 bleed on each. The only area Hektor can outperform them is multi-rush, as you can torpor unprepared vamps with one rush only. Other techs are good for support, but rushing minions is your best bet on gaining that vote-lock you need to breathe.

And Enkil Cog is a sweet thing to have, especially with a free untap out of turn with Under Siege.

!malk! :OBF: :DEM: :cel: :cap6: Sabbat. If this vampire's bleed is successful, he laughs manicly and untaps.

I hear ya! I might just need to consider abandoning the melee angle altogether, and just go with the grapples combat for both.

Yeah, this example is pretty telling that there are many more advantages to other tag teams. Back to the drawing board :) Focusing on a Hektor as a multi-rusher could be an option.

Be carefull here !

Hektor has only :for: and a block will ruin your day (especially if the offender is jake washingtown with or without unmasking and/or anthelios)
