And using the Calendar makes up for the Registration?

Using the calendar is the registration.

You've already dismissed V:EKN as inconsequential to your events, so it has failed in its purpose.

I had hoped for more belief in the results from a volunteer for the system. (Which I'm not.)

I didn't find this on the calendar.
Can the national coordinator for Finland clear this up?

no I didn't.

But I'm pretty sure that ALL of the local players have known about this tournament.
AND players from elsewhere wouldn't have been attending even if it had been advertised in the front page of Helsingin Sanomat/The Times/NY Times/Pravda.

I absolutely think that events should also always be advertised here, but I see no reason of penalizing Petteri (the winner) for it and not qualifying him for TWDA.

If someone NEEDS to be penalized then penalize the local Prince (Kraus). In which case you'll have to penalize the local NC as well (me) and start looking for a replacement for the local NC while you're at it...

The problem is not the missing advertising AFAI can see but the fact that one round played with a three player table, which is against the tournament rules. That is the reason it normally wouldn't be a sanctioned event. After all the winner qualified for the final (only) by winning exactly that three-player-table.

It is not about penalizing though ;) .

I think there has been discussion about 3-player tables earlier in this forum.
The rules seem to allow 3-player tables even it´s not desired in them.
