Sorry but I just can't see the downside to this. In middle and even more in the endgame stages this card is a game winner.

In this deck, it's more "never prevent anything, sometime hit for two". Prevent + Flesh of marble tend to not do anything, and S:CE also negate everything. The deck simply have no use for Hatch.

You can do a deck based on Nadima that hatch as many viper as you want, but it will be significantly more combat-oriented than this one, who use Earth Meld to untap and avoid combat, Form of mist to continue its action through block, and Flesh of marble when shit hit the fan.
