Dominate Redux was created by Jeff Kuta
I liked Aaron Clark's idea about strictly enforcing the RPG canon that Dominate cannot be used on an older vampire (lower generation). I also believe that generally speaking, the older/younger dynamic should be more prominently featured in the CCG. So...
Command the Legion
Cost: X
: Tap X-1 allies or younger vampires.
{Tap X allies or vampires who are not older than the acting minion.}
Distant Friend

: Choose a {younger} vampire... If this action is successful, untap the acting vampire{}. You may burn this card...

: As above...
Far Mastery
Cost: {0}
+1 stealth action
The acting vampire takes control of a retainer controlled by another {younger} vampire.
...
Pulling Strings
Only usable during a referendum.
Force a younger vampire to abstain from voting. This can cancel that vampire's votes.
{As above, but you may force the chosen vampire to cast his or her votes.
Seduction:
Only usable as the acting vampire's action is announced.
Choose a younger vampire. That vampire cannot block this action.
As above, but you may choose {an ally or a vampire of the same age.}
Slaughtering the Herd
Cost: 2
same
Put this card on a {younger} vampire controlled by your predator {or prey}. Each time that vampire announces an action...
Sleeping Mind, The
Cost: {0}
Only usable when the action is announced.
Choose a tapped, {younger} vampire or ally. He or she cannot attempt to block this action.
{Younger} vampires {and allies} cannot untap during this action.
I intentionally didn't change Deflection or Redirection and instead made a new card which I'm sure others have done before:
Translocation
Reaction
Cost: 0
Only usable when an ally or or younger vampire is bleeding you, after blocks are declined. Tap this reacting vampire. Choose another Methuselah other than the acting vampire's controller. That acting vampire is now bleeding that Methuselah.
As above, but this reacting vampire may burn 1 blood to stay untapped.
Command the Legion
Cost: X

Distant Friend

Far Mastery
Cost: {0}
+1 stealth action

Pulling Strings
Only usable during a referendum.

Sabbat.Black Hand Shakar: Lech loathe ranged weapons. Once each action, he may burn 1 blood to become Camarilla Prince of Krakow until the end of the action.

Why you are preventing usage of all those cards on same age vampires ?
Have no sense lore wise as you use dominate on retainer, not the vampire
Far Mastery
Cost: {0}
+1 stealth action

That point is debatable card by card. Mainly, is is more word efficient to say "younger vampire" than "a vampire who is not older than this vampire". That problem plagues much of card design.
I don't know all the canon/lore details, but it seems to me that if I were a vampire who had hired a retainer, I would certainly try to use my influence to keep them around in my employ. This could easily be dropped, but I modified the card just as an example. Perhaps it could be "take control of a retainer controlled by another vampire {without Dominate
]."

That's called using Far Mastery. If someone brainwash your retainer into their service, the only recourse is more or less re-brainwash them. Like the (rare) Far Mastery battle for allies
As a side note, dominate may be powerful in the CCG, but in the source material, if you try to really exploit
it's even more game-breaking. Far mastery is a good example : it can be pretty good in the CCG to steal a retainer, but in the source RPG it can be used to make a trusted retainer betray its master. Like by opening windows during the day.
More on the topic, there is three thing not to forget :
* this make big cap even more powerful / important. After all, Arika see no change for her.
* More than making the discipline somewhat impotent on small caps, it may be preferable to make Dominate not do everything. As a general sense, it would be better to have "dominate powerful to do some thing but not all" than "dominate somewhat bad on smallcap and amazing as ever on bigcap"
* thematically, there is 4-gen 10cap (Meneles, Helene) and 6-gen 11cap (some Inner Circle), so there is still quite a bit of abstraction.

With all due respect
I could not care less about ANY of these card changes, since none of them cover Deflection and Govern the Unaligned.

Come on Kevin, just imagine a world in which you could go to a tournament and not have to worry about the endless parade of cheesy Pulling Strings decks!
