Depend on the country and context. Where I live, people would freak out if you had any kind of firearm on you, while sport bow are uncommon but not the least problematic. Of course, barbed or otherwise aggressive-looking arrow may be another matter.

Tbats very true. If you are in an elevated position such as a roof or upon a grassy knollthis is intentional) with anything shooty, be it bow, gun, slingshot or catapult, you arent going to be there long if people are near, or the police would ask you some questions from behin while cuffing you.

But, kids walkimg to the woods with bows isnt too weird. Open carry is technically legal in many states( but discouraged in ohio) and concealed carry is allowed with a permit in many states, and statistically, states wuth legalized conceal carry tends to have way lower guncrime rates.

So stealth jist upin weapon type doesnt make sense.

Carry a shotgun through the woods and wear a bunting vest in the fall, your normal. Walk naked thriugh woods or a crowd wavimg a bastard sword...... they wont ignore you, to say the least.
