I don't think presence has nothing over dominate, bleeding-wise. Intimidation, Public Trust come to mind...

As for the effect itself I'd hate to see it in combo with further increase the cost of redirection, like that event whose I forgot the name. 3 blood deflections kills most decks.

Currently, Deflection is an auto-include in any Dominate deck. The idea is to change that, make it more rock-paper-scissors. Dominate would be great to deflect most of the bleed, but poor against Presence deck that would include this card on purpose (otherwise Legal Manipulation is better).

The idea is to change that, make it more rock-paper-scissors.


As a player I like the idea.
I mean I like the idea of new deck archetype - "Deflection Denial"
However I would not link it with PRE but with some other more narrowed discipline.

Presence is a bleed discipline that should have some edge over Dominate when it comes to bleeding.
Currently, DOM bleed is somewhat better (because it's stronger, and has some bleed redirection).
I wanted to fix that.


I'm not really sure that we should be going on a power-creep run where a discipline uses Dominate bleed as its baseline that it needs to have an edge over. If anything, Dominate needs to be pulled back a little (and there are cards that do that). Honestly, a starting point of "Needs to have an edge over Dominate bleed" is just a bit... wrongheaded.
