file Constantinople by night

Started re-reading this once I got back from vacation. Was just toying around with more legendary vampires.

Reading about Michael (Mi-ka-il) it really seems it got Antonius and Dracon to bend to his will more often than not.

Michael, The Patriarch
Toreador, 11 capacity
AUS CEL CHI DOM POT PRE
Independent. Michael has three votes. Michael may pay one blood to cancel an action taken by any Tzimisce or Ventrue. +1 bleed.

Minor points first. Modern templating would word that as "has three votes (titled)". Also, it would really help to give a timing for the special ability - can it be used at literally any point, or only as the action is announced etc? Does the vampire tap?

What makes it quite difficult is that special ability is, to a great extent, very random. When it's good, it would be really quite good indeed - that pesky Ventrue deck coming at you is stopped dead in its tracks. When it doesn't apply, you've paid rather a lot for a vampire with a lot of disciplines, an okay title (nice votes, but gets you access to very little that's special), and a minor bleed. Somewhat similar to the 11 caps from Final Nights (Sutekh and friends), which had 2 votes and +1 bleed - though you do have a few more disciplines. They're not the best vampires in the world. So I'd really strongly want to rework it to be a bit more consistent or predictable, so it doesn't have such a huge swing to it. "Randomness" like that is fine when it's a less troublesome special, but this could be really quite nasty indeed. It could also be exceptionally unpleasant when arranging seating at a final table - hi there, I've decided that you can't do anything.

A harsh reality is also that without untap tech, a lot of big vampires are hard to use effectively - unless they have some other key skill, like being a superb blocker (e.g. Anneke). Fortitude is always useful for that, even at inferior. CEL/for, for example, would give access to inferior Forced March as well as Freak Drive. Maybe go to something like AUS CEL PRE CHI DOM for pot. There are other options, like Thaumaturgy and Serpentis, but Fortitude is quite compelling.

You can add protean instead of chimestry then it would have insteanteous untap.

Tapping would be decent if it wouldn't tap the Tzimisce/Ventrue, so it would be basically pay 1 blood to cancel action card.

Sabbat.Black Hand Shakar: Lech loathe ranged weapons. Once each action, he may burn 1 blood to become Camarilla Prince of Krakow until the end of the action.

Some revisions. Added the "titled", clarified the timing of special.

As to removing chimestry for protean, no-way. He used his mastery of chimestry and presence to make himself appear as a stained-glass angel.

PS: Does anyone know how to modify the size of the image. A tried following the tips for using BBCode but doesn't seem to work here.

And this makes it only the second vampire after Helena adv. with 7 disciplines, not to mention, only merged Helena could match him at 5 superiors. Bit much, eh?

!malk! :OBF: :DEM: :cel: :cap6: Sabbat. If this vampire's bleed is successful, he laughs manicly and untaps.

Was the idea basically that Michael could turn around and easily shut down anything done by a Tzi or Ven? If so, then why not instead give him something like...

"(D) actions targeting you by Tzi or Ven have -1 stealth while Michael is ready."

"Michael may react or block Tzi or Ven vampires controlled by your predator as if he was untapped."
