Corpse Venom
Combat
Thanatosis
[thn]
Choose either ranged or melee strikes. Strikes of that type from this minion cannot be prevented with Fortitude
.
[THN]
As above, but for the remainder of combat.
As a weapon (with a bit more usability beyond the Samedi and Harbingers):
Venomous Crossbow
2 pool
Weapon.
Strike: 1R, with an optional maneuver. Only usable once per round. If the minion with this weapon has Necromancy
or Thanatosis
and the strike from this weapon successfully deals damage it deals an additional damage.

As a gun, you let in Ammo cards. It might be interesting as a THN strike modifier type card.Viperous crossbow
2 pool
Weapon, gun.
1R, unpreventable by Fortitude, with an optional maneuver each combat. Only usable once per round. Samedi and Harbingers of the Skulls inflict an additional 2 damage.

Thanatosis

Incredible: twice as much text for half the effectiveness of a .44 Magnum.

I don't see your superior suggestion Lord Sarcasm...Incredible: twice as much text for half the effectiveness of a .44 Magnum.

chrisn101 talk about Poison, so maybe it would translate into aggravated damage or some kind of damage over time effect.
If we want also to keep the crossbow slowness, we could have:
Venomous Crossbow
1 pool
Weapon.
Strike: 1R, with an optional maneuver each combat, only usable once each round. If bearer has Necromancy or Thanatosis, the damage from this weapon is aggravated.
Basically, a non-unique Ivory Bow for Nec or Thn users, restricted to once per round, but with a maneuver. For other bearers, it's like a Saturday Night special, except it isn't a gun (no ammo) and is usable only once each round.
or
Venomous Crossbow
1 pool
Weapon.
Strike: 1R, with an optional maneuver each combat, only usable once each round. If bearer has Necromancy or Thanatosis, and any damage is succesfully inflicted on an opposing vampire by this weapon, that vampire must burn 1 blood each time he or she untaps, until he or she has no blood.
Same thing as above for non-Nec non-Thn users, with an added Mercy for Seth-like effect for the right guys. I don't like very much the fact that the ongoing effect has nothing to represent it, so it could be better somehow.

I'm not really inspired, but I wouldn't write a card that is strictly worse than a .44 magnum anyway.

Erk. Even though it's not a gun, you can add damage with Target Blah, making it still deal a hefty whack of aggravated damage, at range, non-uniquely. For 1 pool, that feels rather too good.

Thank you for the feedback.
However I apologise - I was in somewhat of a rush yesterday and was distracted. Anyway, I made two errors:
First, I mashed up the text a bit. It should have said 2R base damage, non-preventable by Fortitude, only usable once per round, with an optional maneuver each round. And Samedi/Harbingers strike for 3R.
The maneuver per round and none-Fortitude prevention in my view made up for it's lack of additional strikes.
Second, I didn't think it through - it shouldn't have said "Gun" because obviously it's a crossbow, so apologies and thank you for pointing this out.
An alternative idea for Samedi/Harbingers is - and already suggested by Ankha, is opposed to extra damage inside combat, if the opposing minion is hit (e.g. not S:CE or dodged), then they get a Pox counter, a la Smallpox Griet .
