Using Samuel Haight as a template, it could be any non-wraith non-zombie ally, since in the Canon he was Ghoul, Hedge Wizard, Mage, Skin Changer, Kinfolk... Seems if you weren't totally dead you could Skin Change.

Regarding the Imbued, I'd lean towards stopping them being an Imbued. Only 'imbued' can gain conviction, so by having the card change the type of the minion (i.e. the ally becomes a werewolf) it would also cease to be an Imbued.

Muddled Vampire Hunters are relatively unpleasant as it is, but I get the point of giving them 2 life might be overkill, would you prefer them to get +2 strength instead? :P

It would possibly allow for interesting situations with Abomination as well.

If werewolf is supposed to supplant mortal, it doesn't actually say that - there's nothing stopping an ally having more than one type, as they're just keywords. Things like a ghouled mage have been suggested in the past, which would function fine.

Additionally, if you can't be Imbued and another type at the same time, that's not congruent with the current rules - Imbued are Imbued and mortal.
