How does this card address a compelling game need?

1. Removes pool from table.
2. Incentivises card diversity (perhaps running only deflections is not the best idea).
3. Can be used to reduce the cost of a card / shift the cost to pool instead of blood — this adds further creative options.
4. Can be used offensively (deflection, majesty) or defensively (kine, conditioning etc).
5. Adds instant shift in dynamics.

Added remove as a D action to increase interactivity.

It cuts both ways. A predator could use it and name Eyes of Argus, a prey could use it and name Lost in the Crowds — that's kinda why I left it non-unique.

Possibly better to have it unique and contestable.

Way way wayyyyyy too easy to screw over decks and cards that dont need screwing over.

Yeah, I already envisioned MMP decks that put 3 of those babies in play each turn.
