Are Storylines your favorite variant?

I haven't yet played in a storyline event. I've wanted to for ages, though. I've considered picking up a storyline kit just so our local players could try something a little different and have some fun. I've seen them available at Lasombra's and on ebay, for some of the older storyline events. Is it worth picking one up to try?
